01. Potential Full Service Grocery Store


Burrard Gateway: grocery store
There has been strong community interest for a grocery store in Burrard Gateway. The Burrard Gateway team has proposed to the City of Vancouver a potential full service Grocery Store of between 15,000 to 25,000 sq. ft. Before being formalized the Grocery Store concept must be proven out by a Retail Impact Study to be completed by the City of Vancouver. Ask us about this study.

02. New Council Policies


Burrard Gateway
On February 1st, 2011 Vancouver City Council passed a policy allowing tall buildings at seven sites in the downtown core. Burrard Gateway been deemed suitable for a building of generally five hundred feet.

On January 20th, 2011 Vancouver City Council adopted the Greenest City 2010 targets for Vancouver 2020: A Bright Green Future. Objectives of this policy are addressed by Burrard Gateway including meeting LEED Gold equivalency and densification in support of green mobility objectives. **

03. Some Increase in Height and Density


In response to the new council policies and the grocery store demand a height increase of 61 feet is proposed comprised of 44,310 additional Sq. Ft. to accommodate 30 additional market residential units.

04. Enhancement of Community Amenity Contributions


The proposed adjustments to height and density will help to facilitate the Grocery Store use as well as open up potential for additional Community Amenity Contributions for the benefit of the City and the Local Community. Tell us your ideas for additional amenites.
